Taylor Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania. She spent her childhood years living on a beautiful 11-acre Christmas tree farm named Pine Ridge Farm, which served as inspiration for songs such as “Christmas Tree Farm” and “Seven” before moving into this beautiful Georgian Colonial house in Wyomissing.
The historic house was built in 1929 and includes enchanting details such as fireplaces, a butler’s pantry, and crown molding. It was originally built for other people, the Lauers, an important family from Reading that lived next door in a stone castle!
With five bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and 2,560 square feet, it is a one-of-a-kind house, filled with the elegance and character of the old world.

You can immediately feel the cozy, yet luxurious atmosphere of the house through the images, so it is no surprise that this family home was the place where Taylor wrote Love Story, one of her most famous songs. At least that’s what rumours say!
The dining room is set to entertain the whole family for special occasions, such as Thanksgiving or Christmas. A delicate candelabra-like chandelier, tartan curtains, and a sophisticated set of dining chairs give the whole room a sense of opulent country style.

Connected to the dining room, the drawing room offers a space for relaxation filled with natural light and a great view of the outdoors.
The kitchen is decorated with traditional cabinetry and a marble island. The checkered floor is one of the Autumn trends for 2022! In the back, we can spot an informal dining area decorated with pieces that give us that familiar and homey sensation.
Here’s a better look at the dining area, one of our favourite rooms in the house!
We can’t help but feel like this was Taylor’s room, it just has a special vibe to it. It’s almost as if we can picture her in the corner, with her guitar, writing songs. Truth is, this bedroom offers plenty of space for a teenager to make it their own. An honorable mention to the sparkly pendant lamp that adds a feminine touch to it.

One of the bathrooms of this amazing, historic house. Decorated with small tiles and a soft colour palette. Two small wall lamps side the circular mirror, carefully positioned to make the room seem bigger, a smart idea, taken from the feng shui 101 book!
A vanity corner was carefully placed next to the window, allowing the natural light to mix with the artificial one provided by the wall lamps above the rectangular mirror.
The sitting area on the porch is the perfect place to enjoy an autumnal sunset. Adjacent to it there’s a heated swimming pool and plenty of space to run. We are sure Taylor had the best days here with her family.
Nowadays, the house is owned by another family and visited by fans who wish to take pictures and walk down the same street as their idol did. So if you ever visit Wyomissing, make sure to visit this now very famous location!
