Giulio Cappellini joined his father in 1977 in order to bring innovation and launch the brand on the international market. Since then, Cappellini has developed many projects, such as Sistemi, a new approach on cabinets that combines usefulness and aesthetics, even in mass manufacture. It has also collaborated with other brands and designers, like Shiro Kuramata in 1986, or Tom Dixon in 1991.
In 2014 The Marangoni Institute created a new furniture design education department in Milan, which interiores were totally curated and designed by Giulio Cappellini. The designer provided the Institute with some of the Cappellini catalog’s design cons, as well as many products created expressly for the project.

New Era Decor is Cappellini’s newest project. In Cappellini’s New Era Decor, design meets technology. This is a heating device designed by Giulio Cappellini for OLMAR. Also a decorative element, it was designed for both public as well as private spaces. Technology was studied in order to secure high performance when it comes to heating and air purification.

The technology that was used was FIR – Far Infrared Rays, that penetrate the body and increase the cutaneous and subcutaneous temperatures.
