His particular style, so effortless that it has been described as not decorated at all, appears as timeless and everlasting, thanks to the influences of his academic education and the various important figures that have shaped his artistic persona: his strict education started at 15, when he enrolled at the École Boulle to study gilding, plaster carving, cabinetmaking and upholstery and then at the École Camondo for interior design.

One of his major encounters has been the one with Yves Saint Laurent, for whom he created different projects, from a villa in Marrakech to a Proust-themed Château Gabriel in Normandy for which he took inspiration from “In Search of Lost Time”. Jacques Grange has said about that particular client: “Of all the houses I have decorated, those I have decorated for Yves Saint Laurent are the most important part of my work”.
