Inspired by the preppy masculine style of the owner, our design inspiration for this bachelor beach getaway in East Hampton was “Brooks Brothers at the Beach.” Classic khakis and fresh whites give a crisp background to bring out rich indigo, navy, and chambray. Clean lines and natural textures bring a refreshing simplicity, while a few vintage items and artistic touches add character. Welcome to the Hamptons!
Barefoot elegance is the theme in this sun-flooded 5 bedroom East Hampton home. Soaring volumes are grounded with black stained floors and a gutsy material palette of iron, wood, stone, and sisal. Hits of weathered blues, acid yellows, and citron greens sizzle against a neutral cool backdrop.
A young couple loved the Upper East Side location of their classic pre-war apartment, but with a new baby on the way, a gut remodels and complete redesign was in order. To make space work for the growing family that needed to keep an eye o baby from every room, an open space plan allows for effortless flow and visible connection between kitchen, dining, and living. Masterfully crafted live-edge details on the kitchen island, bar, and master laundry room door gives a gutsy farmhouse vibe that complements a casual mix of mid-century and modern furniture warmed by Scandinavian textiles.
