This sophisticated, luxurious hotel opened this year to be one of the most elegant and wanted destinations in Italy. Il Sereno was awarded the title of “Most Anticipated New Luxury Hotel Opening in 2016” and it features 30 oversized suites all with their own furnished terraces and impressive lake views.

Patricia Urquiola and her team truly worked hard on this project and envisioned every detail of the hotel, from the architecture to the interior design. Designed customized furniture, rugs, wall coverings, lighting, and even foulards for the staff, Urquiola created a contemporary hotel contrasting the classical designs around Lake Como.

The 30 spacious rooms all make full use of the natural light and awe-inspiring scenery with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the peaceful waterfront. Keeping with the Sereno promise that there is no substitute for space and a view, this intimate yet sophisticated property complements the breathtaking mountains and tranquil waters with ease.

The property features a private beach, as well as a dock, allowing guests to arrive via one of the hotel’s boats, custom-built by Ernesto Riva. The 60-foot-long freshwater infinity pool suspended over the lake is without a doubt one of Il Sereno‘s show-stopping features, and the large sundeck is perfect for spending a leisurely afternoon under the Italian sun.

  • For this Manchester project, LUXXU wanted to take the outdoor scene to new heights, exploring the rooftop concept even further and enhancing the overall outdoor living experience. All outdoor furniture chosen for this project was conceived by MYSA.
  • Right by the entrance, three uniquely shaped designs, the Algerone console, the Shard table lamp, and the decorative Lumiere round mirror by Boca do Lobo lead the way to the rest of the house. The lounge area continues the distinctive appeal by highlighting the Senzu sofa, a neutral upholstered design with a rounder form and an additional support table.

  • Unveiled as a superb master suite, this utterly modern bedroom is comprised of a series of luxurious and custom-made elements. At the bedroom’s entrance, one spots a sophisticated trinity of designs in the Charla dresser, the Darian Gold mirror, and the Waterfall II wall lamp, all of which contribute to the sublimity of this space. Moving on, however, the “matriarch of the bunch” easily becomes the Charla bed, which showcases LUXXU’s impeccable craftsmanship techniques.
  • This living room is perhaps best described by its high ceilings and modern decorations. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow for plenty of natural light to come in. The Otto sofa, with its stronger tones and slightly curved form, becomes a stellar piece for one to relax and gather with friends, alongside the Gladia armchairs.
