Julia was raised in Washington, D.C., where her family had a strong connection to the performing and visual arts. With a BFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Julia pursued her passion for art and design and worked in Venice, Italy on a renowned Guggenheim Fellowship with Dr. Phillip Rylands, Director of The Peggy Guggenheim.

As soon as she returned to New York City, she finished her interior design course at FIT and began working as a project manager and interior designer for renowned architects including The Office Of Thierry Despont and Ronne Fisher on prominent projects in New York, The Hamptons, Miami, and LA.
She created well-known projects and brands at the Rockwell Group, including Payard, the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort, the Tribeca Grill, and The W Hotel (NYC Flagship). Julia developed The Rum Jungle & China Grille at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Calle Ocho, The Schwab Company Offices, and Schwab Residence in NYC while working for Jeffrey Beers International.
