BABA is a destination restaurant and cocktail bar located in The Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square Hotel, with both menus overseen by Jonathan MacDonald and Daniel Spurr of hit Glasgow restaurant Ox and Finch, in collaboration with restaurant and bar visionaries Robbie Bargh of Gorgeous Group and Katherine Arnold. BABA serves a radically unusual small plate mezze cuisine, with the flavor of ‘Levantine escapism’ as the restaurant’s unique twist. The main space has a lively color scheme and an industrial, damaged design sense, with strong Levantine colors and craftsmanship.

The Principal, York

Goddard Littlefair: A Design Studio True To Its Ethos

Goddard Littlefair devised a project for The Principal, York, to reintroduce life into every artery, paying homage to tradition while creating a light, welcoming, and contemporary setting in the shape of a modern and softer country house interior. They were tasked with restoring the hotel‘s basic character in order to help position it as a fantastic place to spend time as well as a great place for guests to stay, given its proximity to York railway station. The Principal, York won gold for Hotel of the Year and Conference Venue of the Year at the 2016 Visit York Tourism Awards, as well as gold for Hospitality Interior Design at the 2016 London Design Awards.

The interior design of Chartered Land’s marketing suite and 215-apartment luxury residential building in Dublin’s prominent Ballsbridge neighborhood. The 14-meter-high, three-story marketing suite is now available for the development’s phased sale, with the first homes set to be completed in 2018, ranging from one- to three-bedroom flats to penthouses. With granite balconies, solid walnut units, marble or natural stone bathrooms, and the most exquisite kitchens ever offered in the Irish private apartment market, the interior concept pays homage to the surrounding Georgian and Victorian homes in terms of proportions and aesthetics.

One Park Drive

One Park Drive, an outstanding new 58-story residential building by worldwide architects Herzog & de Meuron in Canary Wharf’s New District, is one of London‘s most intriguing and eagerly-awaited constructions. Cluster and Bay are two different parts of the three-section circular skyscraper designed by Goddard Littlefair, with each type consisting of studio, 1, 2, and 3-bed units. The crisp and geometric interior treatment was influenced by the architectural cues, such as the use of framing in the architectural scheme and the ribbed texture of the external façade, with echoed patterning applied in the joinery for the crisp and geometric interior treatment. The concept is extremely well-thought-out, with exquisite details that flow and link throughout the rooms.

The 5-star, luxurious Presidential Suite at the Lowry Hotel, Greater Manchester’s largest, has had a thorough makeover, featuring a substantially larger dressing area. A variety of different yet linked spaces, including a living area, dining area, bedroom, bathroom, dressing room, pantry, and powder room, are created by beautiful, fitted woodwork screens. The suite, which is inspired by Manchester’s rich industrial past, includes references to the city’s industrial shapes, geometry, and legacy, such as the shape of Trinity Bridge, which is located just outside the hotel. The new design, which is complemented by a color palette inspired by Lowry’s five colors, has a nice home feel to it, with light and brilliant tonal colors.
