Piet Boon is one of the most relevant and iconic designers of our time, and belongs to most famous Dutch architects and interior designers. Together with a creative director Karin Meyn, Piet leads his own team of designers, interior designers and architects completing projects around the world for a constantly growing group of clients. Fifth Avenue Apartment is one of the most luxury projects of Piet Boon studio.
The clients owning this Fifth Avenue apartment stumbled upon the eponymous book of Piet Boon quite by chance. His style perfectly suited the mood they had in mind for their luxury home in the heart of New York City, overlooking the city’s biggest garden: Central Park.
After meeting with the clients, Piet Boon presented the first plans for this challenging renovation: owing to strict regulations of the exclusive building, everything had to be completed within four months.

An important consideration was the balance between the various rooms and making optimal use of the natural light, especially in the living spaces which overlooked the park. As the clients already possessed exceptionally good taste, studio consulted with them about their wishes and design tastes. The result is a rich, international style, with elements of European design. And thanks to our subtle use of color, the apartment is an oasis of refined tranquility, exuding an almost meditative, Zen-like atmosphere. The perfect retreat from the City’s hustle and bustle.
