The Most Expensive Homes in London: Mansion Sold for $70 million

The mansion is located on Mayfair it has an impressive 13,000 square feet, a space that you will not find in any average newbuild home in London. This incredible space is full with 19 bedrooms, seven reception rooms, siz kitchens, 17 bathrooms and a roof terrace.

Over 20 years ago it was converted into six apartments.

The 1891 mansion can be turned into one of the London’s super-home after being sold at list closer to $70 million (asked price). The property was marketed by luxury real estate Wetherell and Savills agents, with the deal confirmed by Peter Wetherell. Because of a confidential agreement made with the buyer Peter Wetherell cannot say how much was paid or whom bought the mansion.

This one of the biggest sales of 2014. The most expensive publicity listed was a home in Knightsbridge for $78 000 000.

This mansion that is no.7 Balfour Places is designated as an Arts & Craft mansion an it is one of the most magnificent, says Mr: Wetherell. It has an elegant architecture and rooms with king proportions. The apartments could be rented to generate income or it can be remodel to be a super-home again and it will definitely be one of the biggest mansions in London.

The designer of this house was Eustace Balfour and it has a five storey brick facade.

The original home had  entertaining rooms and eight family bedrooms and the fourth and fifth floors were for staff. It has had some different owner over the years including several industrialists.
