Known as “the Billionaire Building”, Manhattan’s One57 is one of the most prestigious and ambiguous skyscrapers in New York City. While its blue-hued glass structure is quite the looker, its interiors are even more majestic and The Most Expensive Homes Blog has come to find out that one full-floor penthouse was sold just a few days ago for $42 million. The renowned Danish designer, Thomas Juul-Hansen was responsible for the majestic interior design of the 6,240-square-foot apartment. Some of its most impressive features are a great room that faces Central Park, floor to ceiling windows that provide mesmerizing views of the city, sumptuous custom-made furnishings upholstered in rather exceptional fabrics, industrial and classic lighting designs, accessories and sculptures with a unique aesthetic, mother of pearl inland closets, among many other impressive features.

This unique apartment was actually the most expensive one that was for sale at the One57. Now, this title belongs to a five-bedroom apartment that is currently for sale for $28.5 million.

As a whole, the 1,005-foot-tall luxury high-rise building is comprised of 94 apartments and also includes the Park Hyatt Hotel.
