The most expensive home in America is worth $238-million – Billionaire Ken Griffin is the owner of the most expensive house in the United States of America. The purchase made in 2015 and it pushed his new penthouse in the top record for the most anyone has ever paid for a home in the United States. The report was officially made by The Wall Street Journal by the end of January.
The founder of the hedge fund Citadel has reportedly acquired the most expensive U.S. home ever. The penthouse is located near the 220 Central Park high-rise and measures about 24,000 square feet. That boils down to nearly $10,000 per square foot.
This new home in New York and the residence in London add to a total of six real estates that are recorded under Griffin’s name. He has also made some major purchases in Miami, as you can see in the picture below, and in Palm Beach, Florida. The Miami house at the Faena House was bought for $60 million in 2015.
The 50-year-old billionaire has a fortune of $9,6 billion and holds the No. 138 spot on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index of the world’s 500 wealthiest people.
