ZZ Architects has recently unveiled the design of a luxury apartment that follows a maximalist design concept. Leading this project were the architecture and interior design studio’s founding partners, Zubin Zainuddin and Krupa Zudin. Today, the Most Expensive Homes blog explores the interiors of this rather unique property that is located in Mumbai.
The 3500 sqft apartment is surrounded by the famous Mumbai ‘Queens Necklace’ coast. The architecture project of the apartment was based on a free-flowing concept, which allows the exploration of curved and sinuous forms creating a new spatial typology for the luxury home design.
The main challenge for the two architects was to make this apartment feel more intimate since it doesn’t have a lot of close or individual rooms. The low ceiling heights and structural beams were incorporated so that space could look seamless. The interior design also features some oversize windows with minimum frames to make sure that the view is not obstructed by vertical elements on the window frame.
In the master bedroom, the view has been strategically considered in the creation process. The luxury style bedroom has a massive bed from Roberto Cavalli, which is aligned perfectly to reveal a stunning view of the sea and the sky.
What was before a typical four bedroom apartment is now a luxury style symbol for the interior design market. The contrast of material and finishes create an emotive response in any person that enters this luxury home.
The overall design of the luxury home was an attempt on creating something out of the ordinary both in terms of layout.
